Xine problem??

Hello,

I installed ubuntu. And I see that libxine is installed with it. 1.1.1

Now I think thats able to play Divx and Xvid movies.

But I have some other problem with xine too.

I can't open Xvid movies. Libs are installed and Win32 codecs too.

2nd:

strange graphic problem:

What could that be? Graphic driver or what. Same problem on Kaffeine and Totem. VLC only works. Xine doesnt. I tryed to reinstall. Same thing happends. I tryed to compile xine-lib-1.1.1 i got errors... so i cant compile it.

Any advice would be great.

Your sample looks like a missing codec or scrambler to me. I'd run Synaptic and search on codec to see what's installed and what isn't. I've had good luck with mplayer. It seems to bring a lot of codecs with it.

Fixed

I installed another version of libxine and xine it self.

THe problem with the picture also solved. I needed to select a different video driver in xine. xhsm or opengl. those only work.

Its because i have S3 savage. NOt such a great card. But i have to make modifications always to make something work.
