Unable To Watch DVD's

I have a very basic DVD w/o any kind of DRM or Encryption on it and I am unable to put this in my DVD ROM of Ubuntu 8.04 and play it using Totem or "Movie Player" which is the default player in Gnome. When I try to load the DVD, I get an error:

Anyone know how I can successfully play this DVD w/o loading Mplayer or any other application? I am sure I am missing something that needs to be loaded or installed from apt-get.

Thanks for any help!

You need to install libdvdread.
sudo /usr/share/libdvdread3/install-css.sh

Also, to play encrypted DVDs, you need libdvdcss2. It's in the repositories if you have all of them enabled.

Best of luck.

It appears I don't have them listed in my repo and I think I have all of them enabled...

Code:
carlwill@tunafish:~$ sudo apt-cache policy libdvdread
[sudo] password for cwilliams:
W: Unable to locate package libdvdread
carlwill@tunafish:~$ sudo apt-cache policy libdvdcss2
libdvdcss2:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: (none)

Better post your /etc/apt/sources.list then, so we can check, or search for the required repository yourself (probably faster).
