Hello and welcome to the forum.

Google Chrome is no longer supported on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. This includes 64 bit as well as 32 bit.

Look for Linux under the header See system requirements.
Here is the URL:
Download and install Google Chrome
Quote:
To use Chrome on Linux, you'll need:

64-bit Ubuntu 14.04+, Debian 8+, openSUSE 13.1+, or Fedora Linux 21+
An Intel Pentium 4 processor or later that's SSE2 capable
You can comment out the line for Google Chrome in your sources list to stop the error message.
Google Chrome will continue to work, but you will not longer get updates.

Hi Ralph...

Welcome to the forum

In addition to the method life0riley mentioned, you can also do this through the Synaptic package manager. After bringing up Synaptic, click on "Settings" at the top left of the window, then click on the "Other Software" tab and uncheck the entry Google Chrome. The enty might look like "http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main." Synaptic might ask you to refresh the sources list.

Regards...
