Thunderbird freeze at new mail incoming

hello,

I'm asking for your help because it's a lot of time that my 2.0.0.18 version of Mozilla's Thunderbird, get completely frost, every times a new mail income.

This is not the only thunderbird Issue: when i write some long message, every 5 minutes (during the new message composition) thunderbird freezes, and the only way to end my task is to force the exit from thunderbird and re-launch it so many times...

Is there any good soul that wants to help me in finding what's happening to my preferred e-mail client?

Maiden

Never heard of it freezing while writing a message but not too long ago I had it lock up on me while retrieving mail. I have it get mail from 2 accounts (used to be 3 but the Webmail/Hotmail thing is just a pain); apparently it was having problems with trying to get mail from both at the same time. Not sure what fixed it but I uninstalled/reinstalled and the problem went away, never to return.

Me too, also I've 2 account, but for you is there a way to avoid simultaneous get mail from both accounts? I can't see any options to avoid that simultaneous download.

But what did you say? did you solve your problem just reinstalling thunderbird again or by managing that simultaneous 2 account mail check in the way to let them check new mail one after one?
