Angry problem with login to Ubuntu with ReiserFS or XFS

Hi there,
i had previously installed Ubuntu Dapper on my computer with
ext3 as root and home, both on different partition.
i read many good things about reiserfs so i rebooted into my alternate installation CD (text mode) and created reiserfs for root and home. Root of 4.5 GB and home 1 GB. Every thing went fine while installation. When the installation was complete system rebooted and and when all the loading process was completed a console screen appears and asked for user ID and password. My GUI dosent start automatically. i had provided user id and password and typed "startx" command at the console. Then the message appeared as " XSession file mission in /home .
i had then again installed ubuntu on ext3 partition worked fine, and without any error i logged in successfully.
why this happened? pls help me i want to install ubuntu on ReiserFS.
This is my first forum ever sorry for my english and other grammatical mistakes.

Well, it sounds like it's probably a bug in the ubuntu install process.

Next time you try installing with ReiserFS, when you boot and it gives you that error:

1. Check if /home is mounted. df, or ls /home/. If it's not mounted, you'll probably want to change something in the /etc/fstab file.

2. Maybe it's just the .xsession file that's missing? IIRC, that shouldn't normally cause a problem. Try creating an .Xsession file in your /home/username directory.

3. It could be something else, too, I guess. If you're still having trouble, try to post more information about the error.
