If you hava access to a computer with a CD drive you can boot up the Ubuntu live CD and click on: system > administration > usb_startup_disc_creator to create a usb installer as described on that page. If you don't have access to a computer with a CD drive, then use the UNetbootin method described farther down on that page. Also see this: http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

I created the live cd to a pendrive reading the second link.
But this option just gives the option to install on usb.
Is there any option to install kubuntu on hard drive using this usb live cd.

I have never actually used UNetbootin, but it should allow you to do just that. If you use UNetbootin to copy the contents of the live CD (from the image on your hard drive that you downloaded) to the usb drive, then you should be able to boot the usb drive and install from that.

I can boot but can't get any option to install on hard disk.
It gives the option to install only on pendrive.
Problem solved.
Trying several times finally managed to boot and install linux on different partition of hard disk.
Don't know why that problem occurred first few time it boots.
