i just installed unbuntubut my linux machine is not on the net,i want to install xmms and mplayer as totem wont play my avi cdrs.can anyone tell me what to do.(hooking it up to the net and downloading is not possable at the mo)many thanx

Please don't double post. It makes it harder for everyone to follow your problem and the work at the solution. Also - Please attempt to make the title of your question reflect the actual question. Those who may respond glean NO information from "please help me" or "ubuntu problem".
