New KDE


Yay, KDE 3.4.2 for those on kubuntu, or those interested.

Add this to your sources.list
deb http://kubuntu.org/hoary-kde342 hoary-updates main

Then update and upgrade.
(only i386 at the moment i believe)

Indeed. Kaffiene is actually a fully functional program again too, now those bugs have been removed.

One bug in the update: You may find your control centre disappears. If this is a problem just right click the Kmenu, go to menu editor and create a new entry for kcontrol.

Yeah, the control center DID vanish - I thought it was the way it was supposed to be! Hahah, I've just been using 'settings' - I'll have to fix that - thanks for the info...

u can always use
sudo kcontrol in a konsole ...
