Live CD

I downloaded lately Ubuntu 6.10 Alternative disk, thinking that it has option of Live CD.
However, when I boot it, it gives me only options for installing it.

So can someone clear is there on the ISOs I downloaded Live CD option, and if so, how to get it?

Thanks in Advance!

The Ubuntu Alternative disks do not have a Live CD option. They are intended for installation on hardware which doesn't work with the Live CD version. Always try the Live CD first. If it has problems with your hardware, eg not setting the screen resolution, or detecting your keboard or mouse, then use the Alternative.
