kernel upgrade


I am still fairly new to the world of Linux. Recently I installed Jaunty and decided to tinker with new kernels. It's been a while since I've used Linux so I used this guide,

The problem is that when I get to the installation part, the debs are nowhere to be found. I followed the guide exactly and everything went fine up until installation time. I assumed they would be in ~/src. I have looked there and everywhere else and can't find them. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

For Ubuntu, you may want to consider using KernelCheck to automatically compile the latest kernel:
