Inspiron 9400 CRT/LCD doesn't work

Hi everybody! this is my first post. I am newie in linux so please be patient jaja. And sorry for my english.

I have installed Ubuntu 7.10 with Gnome in my Dell Inspiron 9400. It has an ATI HyperMemory X-1400 with fglrx drivers. I have a 1440*900 60hz resolution.

The problem is when i try to change to an external monitor or projector. I tried FN + F8 and i see that the monitor led puts in green colour but the screen o this external monitor is black. In fact, it doesn´t work.

I have gone to System->Administration -> graphic devices and i enable the second monitor. I put it as plug and play monitor with a 640*480 and 60hs resolution. I put it also, as a clone (thats what i need).

¿Can anyone help me? ¿shoud i send my xorg.conf?

very thanks

crapodino
