Unhappy How do I get the LAMP Server?

Ubuntu refers me to "LAMP server: Selects a ready-made Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP server"

However, I can not find it and it is not listed in the Package Manager.

Where is it?

Thanks

Hello,

LAMP is just a 'concept' and means Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP. It means you have to install those software packages.

Here is an easy to follow step by step guide for Ubuntu.

LAMP on Ubuntu

Kind regards,

Eric

There is or was a package calld Xlamp that brought down Apache, php5 mysql and phpbb2 and installed them to provide a complete Abache php mysql based Forum. Don't know it the package is still available on the net, but I used it as a training exercise and it loaded up and worked.
