But I can't figure out a way to enable desktop effects in Xubuntu 7.04. Is there a way to enable desktop effects in Xubuntu as easily as I did in Ubuntu (Gnome)?
Thanks for your help.

I only had Xubuntu 7.04 briefly before deciding my PC could handle Gnome, and don't recall how. My guess is, this was a feature that was disabled in Xfce. Xfce is designed for PC's with limited cpu power/memory, adding such a memory hogging feature would defeat its purpose...
