Help with 64bit installation.
I'm trying to install the 64 bit version of Hoary onto a newly built computer: it has an A8N SLI Deluxe motherboard, DVD-RW, SATA hard drive, Radeon X800 XL, 1Gb memory. Whenever I've tried installing it, it usually freezes while installing the base system, usually at 52%. I've also tried installing the 32 bit version, which I know is a good disc because I used it to install Ubuntu on this system, and the same happens. I did manage to get a Breezy prelease sort of installed, but it didn't support my network card and wouldn't configure apt. I've also noticed during formats if I'm using the ext3 format it will freeze while doing it (usually around 16%). I've checked the iso's I downloaded, and they're fine. I've asked repeatedly over the past few days on Ubuntu's forums for help, but no one has bothered to reply. Can anyone help me?
