Help required in Installing Openoffice help files in Ubuntu.
Hello,
I have installed the latest version of Ubuntu Studio and the updates from the internet. I am also running LTSP. But, when i use the help option in openoffice word processor, it says, it has not been installed.
How do i install the help files for openoffice?
Also, where do i find fonts like verdana, etc similar to the ones that are available in MS Office?

Well, I found This webpage on installing the Microsoft Fonts on Ubuntu.
After doing a little looking, I found that there appears to be a similar issue with initial install of Open Office in Mepis. Now, I understand that the distros are different, however, the Mepis guys list a package name that you could look into: openoffice.org-help-en-us. There might even be separate help files for any number of languages that you need.
Hope this, at least, starts you in the right direction.
The help file packages for different languages can be installed from Synaptic. There's openoffice.org-help-en-us, openoffice.org-help-en-gb, etc, etc.
Regarding fonts, have you installed msttcorefonts? Not sure if the font you want is in there, but there's a good chance. If not, you can add any .ttf font by copying the .ttf file into a directory called .fonts in your home folder.
I was able to do it!
But, strange the openoffice version i have is 2.4 that came with ubuntu Studio and it didn't have the dictonaries and help files installed.
I installed the required dictionaries, help files and few more packages.
I updated the LTSP image.. everything reflects in the LTSP client except the dictionaries, so the spell doesn't work for other user ID's. But, it works on the server machine. How do i solve this?
