I am trying to create a movie DVD with DVD Styler, I've some short movie in WMV and MOV format, DVD styler has no problem using the file, and I successfully created a DVD with menu, all movies played without problem. I then create separate DVD for each movie, I simply reuse the template with some movie removed from the list, but some disc produce few seconds of loud low frequency noise at the root menu, then playback normally when I click on the movie icon, I burn again the problem movies but still the same problem, I then try again with ECC enabled, but DVD styler failed just before the burn, any idea what went wrong ? any suggestion of DVD authoring tools works like this one ? thanks !
If you just want to create a no nonsense dvd from various file formats I use DeVeDe. This link (although for the winblows version), gives you a better list of the Features.
Let's say for arguments sake you have 4 video files you want to create a dvd from. When you open DeVeDe, on the left side is the Title window and on the right side is the Files window. Your video files are called 'Some Video1', 'Some Video2', 'Some Video3' & 'Some Video4'.
In the title window, Title 1 is already there so click the Add button 3 more times. You should now see Title 1-4.
Select Title 1, click Properties and rename it to the name of your video file, which in this case is Video1. Repeat this process for the other 3. You should end up with Video1-4.
You can start this next part in any order you wish but for simplistic purposes I'll go in sequence.
Select Video1 in the title window. On the right in the file window click Add. Browse to where you have your video files and select Video1.
Select Video2 in the title window. On the right in the file window select add. Browse to where you have your video files and select Video2.
Repeat the process until you have loaded all the videos corresponding to the titles you have set.
Media Size is where you select the size of the disc you are using.
Click Adjust Disc Usage to ensure all movies are encoded to fit your chosen disc size.
Click Menu Options to give your menu a heading, change font size/colour, add music, add a background etc.
Click Preview Menu to see your changes before creating your dvd.
Once you are used to the program you can vary the way you do things, I have merely tried to get you started with a simplistic method.
