DMA mode keeps resetting

Hey, I have installed NeroLINUX, which is not that bad anyways (can download in a .deb format), and when it starts up it says that dma mode is not set for either of the cd-roms I have. Soo, I used hdparm to make the drives use dma and I restarted Nero and the pop up went away.
When I restarted the computer and fired up Nero again, I got the same message to pop up again. I checked hdparm and the cd drives had dma turned off again...

Is there some kind of startup script/item that activates everytime windows starts to turn off dma? Thanx all for the help!!

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DMA?highlight=%28dma%29

If that doesn't work I know this will
add hdparm -d1 /dev/hdc to /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh?
