Disabling TTY Terminals using Xubuntu 10.10

How would one disable the additional TTY Terminals in Xubuntu 10.10 so that there are not to many additional logins? I believe there are 7 total. I am trying to harden my system. Also any addition advice for hardening debian systems would be greatly appreciated?

Have you read the Securing Debian Manual?
