Can't find NVIDIA-Settings.desktop in Kubuntu 5.4

I installed the Nvidia-glx drivers this morning and it appears to have gone ok. I get the Nvidia screen at bootup, but Iwas told to add some lines to the NVIDIA-Settings.desktop at "/usr/share/applications/NVIDIA-Settings.desktop" but It is not there and I did download it along with the drivers. I was told to use gedit but I am using Kubuntu and I don't know what KDEs version is called. Would it be kedit? Hoping for a resolution. Big THANKS in advance.

You can check if nvidia settings is installed by doing `nvidia-settings` in a console. AFAIK, the .desktop file simply starts the app so that it sits in the panel/system tray or whatever.

And yes, kedit is a good guess! Any text editor will do - the instructions still apply.
