Hello... I ran into videos of beryl on the web before I even installed linux, and soon after installing Ubuntu Edgy on this system I got Beryl with AIGLX running, amazingly, perfectly well [it's amazing because this computer has 512 of ram and a 64mb integrated intel graphics card][what are the requirements for vista aero again
]
Anyway, I tried installing Beryl onto a second computer we had, a much faster one, with two nVidia 256mb 7[800?] chipsets, and, to put it plainly, it didn't work. Now, I'm 80% sure I made a mistake somewhere along my journey reading the wiki on Beryl with nVidia on Edgy at beryl-project.org. Because of whatever small detail I missed the driver, presumably, corrupted X server and I was stuck without a graphical interface :/
Can someone point me to a guide that will, as best they know, work for me? Or suggest what step I missed? Beryl worked perfectly fine right after the install, but I wanted to hop back into windows. I rebooted into Ubuntu an hour or two later, and after loading I got the error message and was kicked into TTY1. I didn't run the driver config utility, or whatever it was, so it mighta been a problem with my xorg.conf. I haven't touched the computer in a few weeks, so I'm going off of memory here, pardon the rough details.
All help is appreciated! Thank you!
