another 'undefined mode number'

sorry if you noticed the double post but i realized it was the wrong forum.

Whats up guys, i just loaded a dual-boot vista with ubuntu 7.10 and i got it all loaded and worked perfectly and then i loaded start-up manager, and downloaded a theme and then used the theme. But when i added the theme and tried to reboot the message of 'You passed an undefined mode number' and says the <RESULT> and <SPACE> options and ive chosen all the resolutions options and when i do it just reboots the computer so i cant go back to linux and have to use my vista. any ideas?

thanks in advanced!
