This is a "how long is a piece of string?" type question. Speaking for myself, I'm a hobbyist Linux user. And a casual/lazy learner. I have no curriculum or schedule for learning. I learn what I need to know, when I need to know it. Unless something I don't need to know sparks my interest, then I'll learn about it.
