Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or not.
This seems like a very proscriptive change meant to suit only GNOME/Flatpak. That's not surprising, but I sure wonder what it will amount to. I thought the way to win was "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish", not goofy minimalism.
Normally, I try to remain a bit more charitable, but I'm having a bad day. I'm also a power user, who wants all of their software to be as flexible and powerful as possible, so I'm definitely not the target market.
I'm open to a more positive take, if anyone's got it.
