Many fingers in many pies....
I think google will run one, even if its not massively successful as they can afford to, and they seem to enjoy expanding into any market they possibly can (and with their ethos I welcome them).
I'd love a google service which provided a mixture of free and paid music, by using its crawlers to find more stuff for me to listen to (maybe by working with last.fm!) and hell, they could even handle the transactions for artists too (along with an antipiracy protection for artists?).
