I would consider this a significant milestone. If a system is stable enough to facilitate operations in a multi million dollar fight jet, then it should be able to work on a desktop. An aside, this just demonstrates the flexibility of this linux. I'd would cringe it the government tried to hack XP to pieces so that running mission critical software like the F-35.
