I have to agree with the commenters on Stephen Fy's blog, I doubt that Linux will have taken over within 5 years. However, the number of people using it and the number of celebs writing about in the mainstream media is growing ever greater, this is only a good thing and can only serve to bring the Gnu/Linux "brand" to greater public awarenesss.
Also, Stephen Fry is an excellent writer, actor and all round funny guy. Added to which, he is probably one of the more tech savvy columnists out there.
