i read somewhere zonelabs zoneAlarm software also does the same. Post installation, it asks whether or not zoneAlarm should share your configuration information? You say no and zoneAlarm still reports back home. The Steve Gibson's site talked about this if i remember correctly. The basic solution offered was 'zonelabs.com 127.0.0.1' in hour hosts file.
