X.org transparency

Hi,

I'd like to get transparency to work with my SuSe Linux 9.2 installation. I found this tutorial while searching the net: http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_Xorg_X11_and_Transparency
I know that emerge is gentoo specific and will not work, so where can I find those tools and is the guide applicable at all to SuSe?

Hi.

I've got it working on Fedora. If you're running Xorg (mine's version 6.8.1), then all you have to do is edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf as described, and download and install xcompmgr from here:
http://freedesktop.org/xapps/release...r-1.1.1.tar.gz

Dave

P.S. It's quite impressive!
