Wireless Networking in SuSE 9.2

One of the things that really excited me about SuSE 9.2 was the promise of better wireless networking.

So I have inserted my USB wireless receiver (D-Link DWL-122) and lo and behold, SuSEPlugger lists it as "D-Link Unclassified Device" under the "Unknown" section.

Excitedly, I press the "Insert" button, hoping that this will activate said device. And it does! I get a message saying that the driver has been delivered and the device will now work.

So I boot up usbview and see there, under "OHCI Host Controller", entry "prism2_usb". Which contains the following:

Code:
prism2_usb
Serial Number: 000000000000
Speed: 12Mb/s (full)
USB Version: 1.10
Device Class: 00(>ifc )
Device Subclass: 00
Device Protocal: 00
Maximum Default Endpoint Size: 9
Number of Configurations: 1
Vendor Id: 2001
Product Id: 3700
Revision Number: 1.32

Config Number: 1
         Number of Interfaces: 1
         Attributes: 80
         MaxPower Needed: 500mA

         Interface Number: 0
                  Name: prism2_usb
                  Alternate Number: 0
                  Class: ff(vend.)
                  Sub Class: 0
                  Protocol: 0
                  Number of Endpoints: 3

                       Endpoint Address: 81
                       Direction: in
                       Attribute: 2
                       Type: Bulk
                       Max Packet Size: 64
                       Interval: 0ms

                       Endpoint Address: 02
                       Direction: out
                       Attribute: 2
                       Type: Bulk
                       Max Packet Size: 64
                       Interval: 0ms

                       Endpoint Address: 83
                       Direction: in
                       Attribute: 3
                       Type: Int.
                       Max Packet Size: 8
                       Interval: 1msIn
So after all of this, I've fiddled about with YaST, with KInternet, and half a dozen other things- but although it's there, I can't connect to my life-saving internet-providing wireless network!

Anyone know where to go from here?

Do have anyother NIC cards present? The wireless card may be second to the hard wired card.
I had a problem with my laptop trying to use eth0 instead of wlan0 so I disabled it.

^ Yeah... I have eth0 (my wired PCI card), "lo" (local loopback or somesuch), and "vmnet1" and "vmnet8", which are for my VMWare copy.

No wlan0 interface appears. Should it do so automagically or should I need to create it?

Are the correct modules loaded? I.e. prism2_usb?
