Cool what is kernel-smp ?

Hello
there is package called : kernel-smp-nongpl in suse
what is this package doing?

smp = Symmetrical Multi-Processor - This is for machines that have more than one CPU in them. If you have more than one you should use the smp package - if not use the non-smp package.
