Unhappy vlc


Hi
im runing suse 10.0 x86_64 eval

I am trying to intall vlc off of the Source code because the rpms werent going far

ok i download the Source code and uncompress it to a file on my desktop. I get into a termanial in that folder as root.

./configure

and all is going well

then configure: error: Missing header file ffmpeg/avcodec.h.


I did download this http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/f...ar.gz?download
but didnt get that to install.

My opinion is to skip VLC and install Mplayer. It installed very well on Suse 10 is you add all the correct Internet install sources.

you can try the packman vlc, it doesnèt have mk support but it works
