You could manually edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf or run xorgconfig. Now, I've no idea what 10b4 means. Also, your profile says you are using Debian and FC3 and you've posted a question at SuSE's forum. If it's indeed SuSE that you are using, then you can run "sax2" at the console to reconfigure your X instead...

Now, if it's actually Debian that you are using, there's a tiny chance that you may be using XFree instead of xorg, so the file to edit is another one (/etc/X11/XF86Config) and so is the configuration command (xf86config, in this case). And if you are using Fedora, there's even a configuration tool to configure X too... Remember to be very detailed next time when asking a question, so you will get quicker and more accurate answers

Good luck!

I am using SUSE as well. 10b4 is my short hand for openSUSE 10.0 Beta 4. Sorry for the confusion. I will try your suggestions. Thanks.

Thanks for clarifying that 10b4 for me . I think the refresh rate has something to do with the graphics drivers. What card do you have? If it's a nvidia one, then it's your lucky day. I think SuSE provides an easy way to install the drivers through YOU. Check this link if that's the case:

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/sup...nstaller-HOWTO

Best of luck!
