Using YAST with a remote drive

Hi there --

Is it possible to load software from SuSE 9.3 media via YAST with the media being on a remote system's cd-rom drive? If so,
what, if any, configuration changes do I need to make in order to accomplish this? Thanks.

In Yast -> Software -> Installation Source, you can add network shares that use the smb (windows) or nfs (*nix) protocol. So yes, if you share a mounted CD with one of these protocols, you can use it as remote installation source. I have no hands-on experience with this matter, but if you tell me what server you are planning to use, I can try to guide you through. Once you have the share up and running, the YaST part shouldn't be too difficult.
