Tape Loader Device /dev/sgN is changed after each reboot

Dear all,
we are running SLES10 SP2 where an iscsi tape library is
attached. To load the tape in a slot we are using for
instance the command #mtx -f /dev/sg1 load 2 which is done
very well.
But after the server's reboot the device name of the loader
is now /dev/sg4 or /dev/sg5 and so on. Is there any way to
have a fixed device name for all times?

THX for any solution!
Rainer

Does anything still show up on /dev/sg1? If so you might have to delete that device before executing #mtx -f /dev/sg1 load 2 in a startup script after reboot.
