T'Bird won't launch links

I added this to "user_prefs" and it still won't launch--user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.ftp", "/usr/bin/firefox");
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.http", "/usr/bin/firefox");
user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.https", "/usr/bin/firefox");
T'Bird 2.0.0.1.9
Any solutions?

Try changing the default application to handle http in your desktop environment.

Started working. I already had it set in default. Must have started after I shut it down and rebooted.
