suse 9|1 and xmms

I can't get xmms to play a cd. The problem is /media/dvd or /media/cdrecorder. Konquerer can't enter there. It says "cannot enter this directory." I did chmod 777 on both. I changed /etc/fstab entries, added udf,iso9660 to the list of things already written by suse.
xmms options add drive has /dev/hdd on /media/cdrecorder . Check drive reads out yes digital extraction, yes 12 tracks. Output plugin is enabled. Same for /dev/hdc.
But if I try to open /media/dvd or media/cdrecorder in xmms, to load a playlist, they wont open, or show no files. I think I'll go back to Fedora. Suse is complicated!
Any suggestions??

Usually Suse does it all alone. Strange but try this:
#chmod 666 /dev/hdd
#su
<pw>
#mount -a
#mount -t iso9660 /dev/hdd/ /media/cdrecorder
