Suse 10 will not see new HD even though Knoppix and XP do.

Hi,
I just bought a shiny new 120 Gb HD and Suse can't see it.
Ok, the HD is a Ultra ATA/100 and I had to put in an old Promise Ultra ATA/33 controller card to get it working.

My system is dual boot
On one HD I have XP and on the Other, Suse 10.
XP sees it just fine so I formatted it as NTFS.
Suse doesn't see it all, an fdisk -l doesn't show it.
Suse does see the Controller Card just fine.
So I had an idea to see what would happen if I tried booting off a Knoppix 3.3 live CD.
KOPPIX NOT ONLY SAW THE DRIVE BUT AUTO MOUNTED THE NTFS PARTITION!!
So the problem lies with Suse.
I don't know what that problem is.
Can somebody throw some ideas and suggestions at me?
I'll answer anything promptly.

Thank you.

In a bold and daring move,
I figured out that even though Suse could see the Promise Controller card, it wasn't loading the module/driver thingie.
So in the Yast Control Center I enabled the Module for the Promise card in the Disc Controller settings.
The Angels can now get back to playing harps and singing.
