Software Updater is frozen!

So in the past couple days, I've run into a few peculiar issues. My main concern is that the Software updater in SUSE 10.2 is frozen. It says it's resolving dependencies, but it's been "resolving dependencies" for the past few days.

This is my first time using YaST for package managing. I used yum when I had FC4. Does anyone have any idea as to why it's hanging?

If its been resolving dependencies for a "couple of days" kill it. Then try it again. Or is this a recurring problem?

I tried killing it a few times and restarting it, that why I tried letting run as long as I could to see if it actually was going to do something.

I went ahead installed the listed updates manually using YaST, and then ZMD starting working fine again.
