Suse working on speed

I had a play about with Suse 10 (beta1) the other day and it would appear that novel is listening to people and have reduced boot speed dramatically.

Windows xp may be ever so slightly faster at booting than linux distro's but it has been totally left behind by kde and macos. They have an awful lot of catching up to do, i dont even think there new o/s is going to be anywhere close, not considering kde 4 is out soon and the new mac os.

Sometimes Suse takes longer to boot, sometimes even freezes, when there are many USB devices connected at boot time. Try disconnecting webcams and other flash-based devices.
