Before I converted to Linux I made Music CD labels on Windows using the software that came with the Memorex labels I bought at Wal-Mart.
As a (still pretty new) linux user, how do I print labels on Linux? Is their any CD label software for linux just like the kind I used on Windows? I want something pretty simple and straight forward. I want to be able to drag JPG's to it and the software prints it on the label as well as crop it for me.
For printing cd-labels , until now I've only found "glabels" ( glabels-0-2.0.3-1.1.fc2.rf.i386 , search on the net for other distribution support). It works nicely, but it fails in copying text from other applications, graphic imported works fine : just choose for insert "graphic object" , click on the cd-label image and a window opens where you can select any picture which will resize to your willings.
I've build "Kover". It works and looks fine, but I do'nt see a possibility to make
a real cd/dvd label. glabels makes cd/dvd labels and has a lot of templates for current available brands of cd/dvd label stickers.
glabels :
Due to this discussion I tried again & again to past text from the clipboard.
It is possible , use : shift+insert , to paste higlighted items from a text file.
After that you can change letter type and so on within glabels.
I'm happy now.
