Passwords

I want to change my root password, but I can't seem to. I have used the "edit user profile" feature under Yast, but after I change the password and click finish, the root password remains the same. How do I change the root password of the system? It shouldn't be that hard, since I am the root user.

use the console and the command passwd.

You can also give it a username parameter:

passwd root

This way you will change the root password.
