password for cups

Suse appears to have locked the password for the cups server on 9.1 and 9.2.

Root and user passwords don't work as they usually do on other distro's

anyone know what the password is?

There is no password set; you have to set it yourself.
If you are running X start a shell and log in as root (assuming you are logged in as any "normal" user):
$ su
Password: ******
$ lppasswd -a
Enter password:******
Enter password again:******
$ [CTRL-D]
$ [CTRL-D]

Then use username for cups: root
Password: The one you have used for lppasswd.
You should be able to add a printer now.

Good luck!
