opensuse 10.0 pccard network udev ? trouble

Hi there
I successfully installed opensuse 10.0 on a thinkpad 770X -> fine, except
that I fail to get my PCMCIA network card running.

Its a Belkin F5D50101 (reported to be supported by linux for a long time), which runs fine with win2000 on that laptop.

usb works fine with udev: udevmonitor reports any plug event related to usb.
But udevmonitor keeps silent if I plug/unplug any pcmcia/pccard

below I give the result from lsmod and lspci.

Someone told me these 32bit cards do not use pcnet_cs modules any more, which coincides to the fact that pccardctl (the cardctl/cardmgr replcement) does not report any plugged devices.

Thanks for any hints.

Talking Solution !

There are some pci bios problems with these older thinkpads.

Two additional kernel parameters helped:

pci=noacpi acpi=force
