Question ndiswrapper (v1.47) install error 2

Hi guys my first post here on LO.org. I have searched for like topics but seem to be in total noob mode atm.

I have recently installed openSUSE 10.2 x86_64 version.

lsusb command returns:
BUS 002 Device 004
ID 13b1:0014
(supported by version 1.47)

Have been puzzling over this for a couple of days now, I have the cheap and cheerful LinkSys WUSB54GS v2.1 and i cannot get past the make stage of the ndiswrapper setup.

i have been getting the following error:

Code:
paul@suse:~> cd /home/paul/ndiswrapper
paul@suse:~/ndiswrapper> make install
make -c driver install
make[1]: entering directory `/home/paul/ndiswrapper/driver'
make -c /lib/modules/2.6.18.2-34-default/build SUBDIRS=/home/paul/ndiswrapper/driver
make[2]: entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.2-34obj/x86_64/default'
make -c ../../../linux-2.6.18.2-34 0=../linux-2.6.18.2-34-obj/x86_64/default
make[4]: gcc: Command not Found
  CC [M] /home/paul/ndiswrapper/driver/crt.o
/bin/sh: gcc: command not found
make[5]: *** [/home/paul/ndiswrapper/driver/crt.o] error 127
make[4]: *** [_module_/home/paul/ndiswrapper/driver] error 2
make[3]: *** [_all] error 2
make[2]: *** [all] error 2
make[2]: leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.18.2-34obj/x86_64/default'
make[1]: *** [default] error 2
make[1]: leaving directory `/home/paul/ndiswrapper/driver'
make: *** [install] error 2
paul@suse:~/ndiswrapper>
i did print out the 'Ultimate guide to ndiswrapper' but there is sadly nothing in there about errors and how to fix said errors, also i have the ndiswrapper-tools-1.8.deb but have no idea what to do with it.

Would be delighted if someone could explain the above error, and possibly point me in the right direction to fixing it and getting my linux box online.

Thanks In advance.

-Paul

Okie thanks to this guide:
http://nextgen.no-ip.org/~andrew/lin...erinfo-gui.php

I have managed to get past the general installation problems.

Now however i am stuck with finding a compatiable driver.

I have a v2.1 wusb54gs, i have tried 64 bit os and this afternoon installed 32bit version have tried the drivers on the wiki for ndis and having no luck with either install i just keep getting a driver invalid message.

Can anyone help pls?
