mms streaming and Konqueror

Hi,

I'm having some trouble getting streaming to work in Konqueror.

Here's the site in question: http://www.indie1031.fm/listenlive.html

When I click on "click here to listen live" I get the amplifier graphic opening, but that's it. Not even an error message.

So far, it seems konqueror isn't handling the stream some how. It's likely kaffeine is not handling the stream, but I'm not sure if there's log information telling me this.

I'm running kde and suse 9.3.

Any help woudl be appreciated.

Michael

It seems like the site specifically requires windows media player. You could try installing the xine or mplayer plugin and see if thats any help.

Talking

I tested it on SuSE 9.3 using Konqueror. It plays very good.
READ FAQs on site

"I am using Netscape 7.1 and cannot connect to the stream.
• All of the new players are compatible with Netscape 7.1 and we are currently in the process of updating the old players so they, too, are compatible with Netscape 7.1. Try to connect to the stream using an updated version of Netscape 6 series, Internet Explorer, or Safari if you are having issues with Netscape 7.1.

Does the player support Linux users, how about MAC users?
• YES! Liquid Compass dose support Linux. If you download mplayer (MPlayer-0.90), and then download the mozilla mplayer plugin (mplayerplug-in-0.95), you will be able to play Windows Media streaming. If you are still having issues be sure that you have downloaded and installed the additional codecs from the mplayer homepage."

Yeah, But

1. I read the fscking web site.
2. No, still doesn't work for me in Konqueror.

I did get it to work in Firefox.

Thanks.
