mirror files from one server to another in real time

I have a local network with two linux servers running SuSE 10.0. I would like to set up a realtime data partition mirror that will keep a duplicate of the data partition on the other server. Does anyone have any ideas? I’ve read a little about using FAM and IMON but it appears that there needs to be an additional application to use the info generated by FAM to actually maintain the mirror. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jim Svoboda

You should read this article: http://www.howtoforge.com/high_avail...drbd_heartbeat

It uses DRBD and NFS to mirror each other.

good luck

Thanks for the reply and the info. The article you suggest looks very promising, although the scope is much more than i envisioned for my system. In any event, you have given me a good place to start.
