Memory/Swap consumption problem with squid and kget
I'm not sure if this is specific to Suse or not but that is what I am running. This is on SuSE 9.1 w/updates on an AMD 2G machine. When I try to use kget's applet to download a very large file such as an iso image, after awhile, squid begins to suck up all of my memory and then my swap while the download tries to continue until the hardrive is just churning writing to swap. This only occurs with very large files. Anyone else seen this? /p
