Somehow, I have no clue why, I've lost my nice shut-down options from the menu. All I get now is a log-out, after which I have to manually choose a shutdown, versus the nice restart, shut-down menu that I had yesterday. Now I have to use a password to shutdown, but I don't know what in the heck I could have done to cause that.

Actually, its giving me the option to "end session?". Where could that have come from?

Install is SuSE 9.2 and I've been fooling around trying to get my network working with my Windows machines.

I found it. I set my shutdown options to root only thinking that I was protecting myself.

Out of educational curiosity, where is that option (so I can know not to hit it)?

I believe that it was under the Samba Server settings in YaST, advanced options.

I would assume you would find it in KDE control center -> System Administration -> Login Manager -> Shutdown

Why should this be an option in the Samba settings?

You are correct. I guess it's in both places. Why? I have no clue. If I did I wouldn't be making these dumb mistakes.
