Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Antennas

So, here's a real mind boggler...

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my wireless router. This is a very busy area so I secured it with 128bit encryption. In windows I gave it the hex key and it worked perfectly. After configuring my wireless card in linux with Yast it won't connect to the router even when I give it the correct SSID and key. The odd thing is it connects to some unsecure router in the building.

Is there something special that has to be done to connect to a secure wireless router beyond what I've done?

System Specs:
Windows XP Pro/SuSE 9.2 Pro
AMD 64 1800MHz
Prism 2.5 Wireless b/g
SiS900 PCI Fast Ethernet
ATI Radeon Mobility 9700, 128MB
512MB RAM
60GB harddrive
Uniwill based laptop

Belkin 802.11g wireless router
Part # F5D7230-4

To those of you that help, thanks for the help.
To those of you that don't, thanks for nothing.
