Right, so the first choice: neutralize the seemlink and create an actual file /etc/resolv.conf instead

Will do ...

Still no connection
I mean I connect to my router and can log in to access it, but no Internet connection ... it's like NM can't pass through

I've also added DNS addresses directly in NM and reboot, still nothing

I will try to add just my server IP in NM when I come back

reminder: when installing (from DVD) it finds the network without having to F* around, just set to "automatic DHCP"

I've already nano'd this file, that's when I realized it already existed as a seemlink to
Code:
/var/run/netconfig/resolv.conf
which doesn't exist (the folder "netconfig" in "/var/run/" doesn't exist and is deleted when I create it manually and reboot)

I currently have renamed the seemlink to /etc/resolv.conf.back and created a file /etc/resolv.conf with 3x nameserver <DNS-1_IP>
And I have set 3 DNS IP in NM,
but it still doesn't connect to internet.

It connect to the router though, but only through WiFi, the RJ45 get error messages: "IP configuration unavailable" and "RJ45 connection deactivated"

Do you have another machine on this same network? If yes, does the Internet connection work on it? And, what are the DNS servers defined on it?

Dumb question, but I am assuming you replaced <DNS-1_IP> with actual IPs ??

So why not post:

"IP -h address" gives me that eth0 has no IP, while lan0 has one, which is no surprise

I've noticed that when I change settings for WiFi in NM, it doesn't ask me for root pswd while changing settings for RJ45 in NM, it asks me for root pswd

Oh ! sorry, I didn't get it that way ...

resolv.conf has:

nameserver <DNS-1_192.95.14.96> (same as in my router)
nameserver <DNS-2_69.70.39.62> (same as in my router)
nameserver <DNS-3_65.39.166.197> (same as in my router)
nameserver <DNS-4_8.8.8.8>
nameserver <DNS-5_192.168.211.210> (My router)

NOTE that all my other devices (tablet, cell, win10 laptop) connected to that router has the same setting.
My Cisco router has all the MAC addresses saved to allow connection with reserved IP address for each,
And my previous version of Suse (42.x) was connecting just fine both wire and wireless

1. Please post it incl. the complete commandline.
2. You have wrong format, my /etc/resolv.conf:
Code:
stephan@linux64:~> cat /etc/resolv.conf
### /etc/resolv.conf file autogenerated by netconfig!
#
# Before you change this file manually, consider to define the
# static DNS configuration using the following variables in the
# /etc/sysconfig/network/config file:
# NETCONFIG_DNS_STATIC_SEARCHLIST
# NETCONFIG_DNS_STATIC_SERVERS
# NETCONFIG_DNS_FORWARDER
# or disable DNS configuration updates via netconfig by setting:
# NETCONFIG_DNS_POLICY=''
#
# See also the netconfig(8) manual page and other documentation.
#
# Note: Manual change of this file disables netconfig too, but
# may get lost when this file contains comments or empty lines
# only, the netconfig settings are same with settings in this
# file and in case of a "netconfig update -f" call.
#
### Please remove (at least) this line when you modify the file!
search linux
nameserver 192.168.0.254
nameserver 78.46.231.161
nameserver 109.234.248.10
# at the beginning of a line is a comment and does not execute....
And only 3 servers will be actepted.

As mentioned several times earlier, the file did not exist (at all) only a seemlink existed with a target (in /var/run/netconfig/) non-existing either, so I've no idea what a "normal file" should include and look like.

I've been told to add some lines "nameserver <DNS-1_IP>" and I did ....

Now I will be able to make a "real file" by adding all the lines you presented to me, thks for that !

Somehow now the folder "netconfig" and file "resolv.conf" appeared in "/var/run/netconfig/resolv.conf" and still exists after I reboot (which was not the case earlier) so I've re-set my /etc/resolv.conf as a seemlink to it as it should

Reboot x times, files still there, but still no connection to router with RJ45, and still no connection to Internet with WiFi (but conn to router)

To clarify, You can get to Internet via Brave browser, but not Firefox?
Can you ping any host on the Internet?

ping www.cnn.com
ping 8.8.8.8
nslookup www.yahoo.com

cat /etc/resolv.conf (is the file still same before reboot - with three DNS entries)
